Kimberly Sheffield, MS, MSW,
Registered Clinical Social Work Intern
Meet Kim
I’m a mental health therapist who works with children, adolescents, adults, and couples, helping people find greater clarity, regulation, and connection with themselves and their relationships.
My work is grounded in a whole-person, body-aware approach. I integrate art-based interventions, Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work, and body-based techniques, including somatic practices and EFT (tapping), to support emotional safety and nervous system regulation. Rather than focusing only on talking or revisiting old wounds, we work gently and intentionally, helping your body feel safer so insight and change can unfold more naturally.
For couples, I use Gottman Method Couples Therapy to support healthier communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connection. I also work with individuals navigating relational trauma, life transitions, and patterns that feel difficult to shift.
I hold a Master’s in Social Work and approach each client with curiosity, compassion, and respect for their unique experiences. I believe healing happens best when therapy feels collaborative, paced, and grounded in safety.
Beyond my practice, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and being near the water. You’ll often find me at the farmers’ market or exploring simple, supportive ways to care for mind and body. Faith is an important part of my life, and I offer Christian counseling upon request.
Whether you’re seeking steadiness, emotional clarity, or healthier relationship patterns, I would be honored to support you. When you’re ready, I look forward to connecting.
